Small Groups

Christians are not meant to be ‘lone rangers’. If we belong to Jesus Christ then we also belong to his family, and it is his purpose that as we interact with one another, learn from one another and support one another, so we will grow up and be the Church - helping each other along the way to heaven.
That is why we believe meeting in small informal groups is so important. Most meet in people’s homes week by week for Bible study, prayer and support.
Each group has it’s own character and style but the aim is always  ‘spiritual growth’. As we meet to study God’s Word together, we aim to spur each other on in our relationship with Christ. Never stagnating or growing cold in our love for him, we are to help each other to hold to the truth of Scripture and to put our roots deep down into that truth so that we become fruitful, stable and joyful in our walk with Christ. Paul puts it like this: ‘Just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, being rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught and overflowing with thankfulness.’ (Colossians 2:6-7)
